where he contemplated his decent...took forever to get going...then a pretty quick slide down

Love how colorful he is, whatever the background. I did a little reading about the diet of pheasants. I wasn't surprised to learn they are omnivores, but was a little taken aback to learn that they eat snails. I doubt the one you photographed on its snowy stroll was hunting those.
