I stopped by my local garden center for a quick browse today. They recently received a huge order of new plants from Florida. I found some little Philodendrons labelled as 'Mia' and 'Eva'. Does anyone know anything about these? I can't find much online about them, and hadn't heard of them previously. It sounds like they could be newer hybrids of some kind, but I really can't find much information...

I can't either. I have found a few people who have them, they are becoming widespread, but no one seems to know their origin. I suspect Australia but am not sure, cannot find a patent application for either

I did a little nosing around and found some folks who have bought these. They SEEM to be bering distributed by Pepper greenhouses in Delaware. The only product description for either of them is that they are fairly recent introductions and are 'like Philodendron Birkin' in growth habit. SO its my guess that whoever introduced Birkin, may have also introduced these 2

Ah okay, sounds like they're very new.
The 'Mia' looked nice. Had nice bright glossy leaves. I found a nice one for my mother for her philodendron collection. It'll be interesting to see how it looks when it gets bigger.
