I originally posted this message in Ask a Question but this seems like it might be a better place so I've C&P'd it. nodding

Hello. My raspberry plants lower leaves are drooping (not wilting because they're still a healthy green and have no damage) but the top ones are erect and happy looking. Is there something wrong with the plant and that's an early sign or is it normal for bigger leaves to sag down toward the ground. This is my first raspberry plant so any answers, advice, tips would be appreciated.

Facts
- Bought the plant from a store and it is still in the pot I got it about a week ago.
- The plant is probably over a foot tall and looks very healthy aside from the droopy leaves on the bottom (stems are still stiff).
- It's been inside but gets plenty of sun from my west and east facing windows (inside temps vary between 70 - 75).
- No roots or anything are showing on top or out of the bottom.
- Soil is moist but not wet (truthfully I've been watering every other day).
- There is no obvious browning or damage on any leaves (some are a paler green but not so much that its concerning to me).
- Sometimes (only twice so far) I've put it outside on the porch in the sun on days that were in the 50's. I live in Nevada and it's very nice most days. T-shirt and shorts weather. (the pics are from today where it sits on my porch right now - it's nearly 60 degrees outside but feels hot in the sun)

I'm assuming that you're bringing it in at night because it's cold?
You will need to wait until there is no chance of heavy frost before you plant it outside. Normally raspberries can tolerate cold as dormant canes. (Mine are still dormant.) But once they've leafed out like yours, it may hurt the plant to plant it outside when it's freezing over night by a lot.
As long as you're putting it out everyday you're "hardening it off" which is good. It's adapting to the heavy UV light from the sun. Stores don't produce the heavy UV.
I'm not certain about the drooping though.
I'm guessing that it may be root bound.
Which means it'll do a lot better once you're able to plant it outside.

OMG. I first started writing thinking you were in Idaho!! (Zone 6a)
If you're in Nevada I would put in the ground ASAP.
If it is root bound, tease out the roots a little so that it gets a better kick start.
My raspberries often droop during the day when it's very hot.
Do they come back at night when it's cooler?

I am way behind you! Mine are still just bare canes.
