Do you know if longan is cross pollinated (aka need more than 1 longan tree) or self pollinated please?

I have one longan tree now and it does have fruits but not as much as I would like. I heard for cross pollinated fruit trees then you need more than 1 fruit tree of the same species for it to have fruits.

Thanks

Longan should be self fertile, but produce less fruit if grown individually.
Looks like you are in the proper growing climate-not humid Singapore or The Phillipines. Longan need a definite cool and dry season to set fruit. I'm sure there might be 1 or 2 trees in the Phillipines that are atypical of the species.
Perhaps air layers of named forms differ in productivity.
It's not as tropical as Lychee.

My Sri chompoo is self fertile.... adictive fruit!

Is your tree large enough to have lots of fruit?
