Thread OP

Hi all
Due to unfortunate circumstances I am having to move from my current address and wonderful veg garden, I need to move the end of may so my conundrum is this
I planted garlic late October which I don't want to leave behind so should I dig it up now and container it while young? (they started showing above ground 2 weeks ago) or leave them till may when they are bigger and dig them up then for a chance of survival?
Thanks in advance for any advice

I'm not sure how likely trying to transplant the garlic at either stage will be to succeed, but I would opt to dig them as soon as possible and plant in your containers, trying to "disturb" the plants as little as possible. Best of luck to you - I hope you'll let us know how you make out with it!

I'd dig now rather than wait.
My chickens dug up my garlic last year, I moved it and salvaged most. might have been same as results had they been left in place. I think you should try anyway.
Plant it and they will come.
