Very nice. They are very cheerful. Amaryllis are my fav to force in dec. have 15 bulbs to force next fall. Each of the bulbs all now with only a set of green leaves in pots. Hope to rebloom next dec. they really cheer us up in winter. Hurray!

Have a few Hardy amaryllis that have naturalized in the garden ...they are gopher and deer proof..🤞well poisonous...to all the critters. Have developed into a huge number of bulbs over the years.
Belladonna 'Painted Lady'.. very nice to have blooming in august with fresh pink faces while other flowers have begun to fade in the heat of summer.

All the may apples are popping up.. hope to see a few new sports this season.

Strever... always happy to help out your bank account for a great cause...'Naked Lady's'... well worth it.
Keeping my eye on the new sport I spotted last season. Looked just like a young spotty dotty.
Thanks .. very generous ...yes would love SD .

sangel..Ron...the papilio Hippeastrum amaryllis bulb or 'butterfly' is available on the internet . Your in a perfect zone to grow them outside. Some amaryllis come from Holland I'm surprised they aren't available to you . Always ordered mine from the internet. Not all types are available locally here . Just try a google. Hope you can locate them soon. They are well worth the search.

we have a custom limitation what we can order online, therefore I cannot order bulb online from certain countries. I ones ordered from Florida, it was OK.

About "naked lady" I have a problem. Found them locally, growing for 2 years ago. Bulbs almost double in size, some are over 3 inches in diameter. Still only leaves, no bloom.

sangel... customs a issue ...I had no idea. Can you order from Holland? Or many nurseries in the US have them but don't know if they ship to Israel. Holland is where the US had imported most of the amaryllis bulbs until the US nurseries have started to grow them. They are big business especially during the Holidays. I force many here in my zone during Xmas in pots in a sunny window. It's to cold to grow the hybrids outside in my zone. Florida is a warmer zone on the east coast.

The no blooms issue.. it took a few years for the Belladonna Lily's to bloom out in my garden. 3-4 years. And all my belladonna's naturalized in the garden always have leaves with the flowers. So doesn't live up to the naked lady moniker. Since yours are not flowering you can always do what I do, threaten them if they don't flower then you'll put them out. Shrug!

Actually if they are planted to deep or don't have enough stored energy or matured enough will take longer to flower. Other than that I don't know what to suggest, assuming they are in at least 7-8 hours of sun a day. . Maybe start a separate thread asking why belladonnas don't flower, and some one will help out. Have you tried bulb food ? It's early spring here and all the belladonna leaves have sprouted out. They won't flower til august here.

Keeping 🤞the bulbs flower for you next season.

all amaryllises here have leaves all year around, sometimes in a very cold winter (by a local standards, cold mean temperatures at night are under 40 F) they might lost part of the leaves. Belladonna is different, leaves only in winter, as soon as start worming up, it loose all it leaves, and sleeping till next winter, it should bloom in the end of summer, but nothing. It is planted as all other amaryllis, 1/3 is out.

I found one strange thing, I cannot grow bulb that were originally grown in a cold climate, like Holland, they will not survive a local summer. It is too hot here, temperature might soar over 100 F , with humility under 20% or even less. In March -April it changes very dramatically, we had 2 days ago almost 98F, today it is about 50F.
