Someone gave me 2 Husky Cherry Tomato plants in small grower pots. It won't be warm enough to plant them for a few weeks, so I have them in my garage and I'm watering every few days. It's usually around 60+ degrees during the day now. Should I bring them outside in the sunshine during the day, or just keep them in the garage until I can plant them?

Yes, give them as much sun as you can. If they have been indoors for a while be sure to gently introduce them to the outside ("hardening off"). Check out this article for more information:

Be aware that they may need to be transplanted before you can get them in the ground. Tomatoes transplant easily and if you bury part of the stem when you transplant them it will make them stronger.

Good luck and enjoy your tomatoes!

My rule of thumb for transplanting tomato seedlings is : up to the armpits. I strip off the lowest three or four leaves. They'll sprout roots anywhere along the stem, and each root makes the plant stronger. They do very well in 5 gallon containers (The food grade ones are excellent: we got a bunch of used ones from the ice cream factory 20 years ago and the ones that have been outdoors are just starting to crack up), but can get by in a 10 qt washing-up bucket. Just make sure you drill enough holes in the bottom.
Behind every opportunity is a disaster in waiting.

I've grown these before, but I usually buy them later in the growing season so I've never had to store them. Thanks to you both!
