...after working in the garden off and on all day, to sit in the wrought iron double-chair and simply look at the shapes, colors, textures and blooms putting on a show that day.
This small composition of four plants is close to the chair and one of my favorites.
There is something about the softly "burnished" surface of the 'Caramel' Heuchera and the brilliant white of the Crow Poison blooms that is both soothing and exuberant.
The 'Blue Mouse Ears' Hosta in the background is a strong favorite; particularly when planted in groups of 3 or 5.
And the Balloon Flower stands up above the Crow Poison and serves as a compliment to the vertical clump of Culvers Root nearby.
