Are you trying to buy
L. michiganense from native plant nurseries, and still getting the wrong lily? If you were ordering from a bulb specialist or regular nursery, I guess they may be less likely to have the true species, and more likely to have a hybrid or just the wrong thing?
Ontario is a big place, but if there is a native plant society with a chapter in your area, or a native plant nursery, it might be better to try that instead of a regular nursery?

sell so I think I won't risk buying more that may just turn out to look like Tiger Lilies.
