Thread OP

Hi hope i can get some help here

I have a Monstera leaf cutting that has totally rotted at the base and the developing root has now come away (clearly over watered)

my question is: the root itself is strong - very thin admittedly but white about 12 inches long and fairly healthy doesnt appear rotted unlike the base of the leaf cutting - ive popped it in a bowl of rain water and put in an aeriating stone to keep it oxygenated

what the likelyhood of the root regenerating growth into a new plant?

any advice would be appreciated

Michael

Are you able to thinly slice off the rotted area without compromising the node and the root growing out of it? A photo would be very helpful for us to recommend your next move in saving it

Hi & welcome, Tahini! It's been a few weeks but that's a worthy suggestion.

How is it going, Michael?

There are so many Monstera questions recently. Such a popular plant!
