Has anyone seen this plant for sale recently? I know it's not a true annual, but when I've seen before, it was in a hanging basket with other annuals baskets, so figured I would ask here in annuals.

I have seen it for sale. I am not sure it is out yet this year, but it has been for at least the last two years.

I do have that plant. It's a little ragged right now after spending winter inside but if I get it in better shape and you haven't found it yet, I'll see if I can't root it.

That's cool! The one time I had this plant, it stayed alive over 1 winter in my basement, and then I moved and may have given it to someone, can't really remember after so much time. Thank you for the kind offer! I haven't given up hope of finding since it's still so early, but will keep in mind. : + )

If you can wrap the cut end with a damp paper towel, gather a small baggie around it, tape it on/closed, they should travel well that way. I also usually slip the cut/baggie end into an empty toilet paper roll to keep that area steady, fill any empty spaces with crumpled paper or more empty paper rolls to prevent jostling. This is how I send snips, everyone says they travel well.

An exciting update! Notice these blooms yesterday!

This pot got knocked over yesterday evening in a storm but thankfully, this stem doesn't look broken. It's the best one of the bunch, so far. : ) Enjoying this so much!!

I am glad you were able to get them to root. I tried a few cuttings but no roots plus the parent plant kicked the bucket as I cut it back too hard. But that's OK. I am cutting back on plants that need overwintering.

It's been an interesting journey so far. I put the stems in water to take root when they arrived and since it was so late in the season, they ended up staying in the water until it was outside season again. I think I lost 1, so now there are 3 stems. One is in a pot, in the pic from yesterday, and the other 2 are in the ground. Incredibly strangely, the one in the pot is growing faster, so far. Maybe the potting soil still has some fertilizer oomph because that plant was repotted in the late fall.

I am glad they are taking for you. They are cute but I will be ok without them for now. They show up here but I am cutting back like I said. I have to switch over to more full sun plants and now will grow more from seed.
