If you can wrap the cut end with a damp paper towel, gather a small baggie around it, tape it on/closed, they should travel well that way. I also usually slip the cut/baggie end into an empty toilet paper roll to keep that area steady, fill any empty spaces with crumpled paper or more empty paper rolls to prevent jostling. This is how I send snips, everyone says they travel well.
