Can't wait to see the photo of the possible 'Olivette' Greg. Could be there was a tiny hidden offset. I have had that happen.

Rolling on the floor laughing I love the play on the word 'fodder'. You two are so much fun with the word games. Means you should be creating some great 'Sempervivum Poems'. Green Grin!

Yes, it is a digital camera like my old one, just a much better model. I am not sure whether to get it in grey or red or black however.... Hilarious!

Wow, fodder and photo hungry huh??!
Btw I had a great find while I was tearing up my bed to get to all the semps hidden beneath the sedum (man that stuff can take over!) Anyway, while I was looking I found a young S. 'Olivette' I'd thought I'd lost mine since it had flowered, so either there was a young 'un hiding or its here from seeds (since I'd left the flowers to dry out) I'm not sure of the ID so officially its a 'NOID' but it has the amazing coloration and look of Olivette Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! (that's 3 cheers for hidden chicks!) photo to follow
BTW - sorry about your phone Pia Glare Yours sounds like it far outlived its lifespan - since they're pretty much designed to last only a year or 2! I agree with Lynn, get digital for us anyway!!! Rolling on the floor laughing

Oh Boy, Arif will be saddened by that. Wasn't he admiring the great pics it took? So, Pia, more "Snow on Sempervivums" photos for those still working on the haikus or poems?? Have a good one! Smiling

Oh no, not your cell phone. Blinking
Arif is not the only one that will be sad. When do you think you will get the new camera? Is it digital? Only way to go, and much cheaper in the long run. Don't have to pay all that money for developing photos.

Yes, we need fodder for the poem factory. Hurray!
Sorry, we haven't had any snow yet. Just frozen fog. Winter isn't over yet. Whistling

Pia, My vote is to buy the brightest color camera so that when you set it down or put it in your purse, it will be easy to find. Smiling

Ok so as promised here is a photo of what I think is a baby 'olivette' (Warning, the photo does not do the plant justice, it is the prettiest little golden greenish olive color, and in this photo it just looks "okay" but not great!)

I can't believe I don't have a January photo of my Olivette. I'll try to get one tomorrow for comparison.
It sure is a sweet baby Greg. Love the color, even if it turns out to be something else. Lovey dubby

It is not one that shows bright/spectacular colors, but does have different soothing green tones that helps balance the rest of the semps. It was one of my first names semps, and I love it.

I think mine was more showy because of using "miracle grow" soil for the first bed that I had placed it in, and it was getting heavily "fed" it was a golden green with some reddish/copper tones. (and this little one looks like that)

Remind me in the morning to go out in the freezing rain (forecast for tomorrow) and take a picture. I haven't looked at Olivette for quite some time.

Chris, yes it was just hiding out under some sedum, and it looks great!
Lynn...photo of 'Olivette' by any chance?? (just wondering!) Hilarious!
Also I noticed this afternoon that one of my favorite NOIDs (all of them!) has a baby, I almost unrooted it making sure that what looked to be a stolon was attached to the momma and it is! They're lovely, photos tomorrow (they have the nicest moss green in the center! and an interesting more open rosette - and I love that the baby looks just like its mom! Big Grin
