I have 6 small blueberry plants planted last year in a raised bed beneath my large maple tree. It is south facing, so they get some morning sun until 10:30 and a tiny bit of afternoon sun between 2:30 and 4:00 though in the afternoon its filtered and scattered light usually. They havent flowered this year, but I also attribute that to me not pinching off their flowers last year and because I didnt have the proper PH for them.

I am in southern ontario.

Also, i have a few strawberry plants in the same shade that are flowering profusely so thats leading me to believe its okay for now.

I dont think last uear has any effect on if they bloom this year.
Mine already bloomed and have lots of green berries. I don't know what your timing would be

Blueberries make buds for next year's flowers on this year's bushes, so since they got so rattled last year i assume they didnt make any (except the one that did for some reason) and yeah... I hope to get more next year and I think I will because Im watering properly and doing everything right now except less sun than ideal, but enough for strawberries, so im probably worrying over nothing. Thanks!
