Hi there,

woke up this morning and found my san marzano tomato plant looking like this. It was transplanted from inside to outside 8 days ago and has been fine up till this am.

It was fine yesterday and this is not a watering issue. i tried to google the issue but can't come up with a solution. the stalk seemed firm and ok but there was a section of white, everything else was just wilted. perhaps some kind of bacterial or fungal wilt ? the tomato plants have never been in the raised bed they're currently in. We put in straw mulch, which we've never done before.

thanks in advance.

Depending on where you are southern blight kills a plant quickly in this manner. It is a problem mostly in the southeast tho.

I don't know. The top where it's bent over so sharply makes it look like something broke it. But that stem looks like something more than physical abuse. I've had blight on two different occasions but on much larger plants...it took the plants out in only 2-3 days and they were brown and crispy dead. Blinking

Oh, and sorry about the comment above...I just really couldn't resist. nodding Welcome to the forum!!!! Thumbs up
