Thread OP

So this has been a work-in-progress since we moved in. It doesn't look like it, but this was a completely barren yard with gravel in the entire yard before I got ahold of it. So this is my current yard visually and my overhead view with measurements.

The house is getting new gutters and new paint in two weeks, and I want my planters to get a fresh look. I HATE the scalloped edging but it was here before me, so I'm planning on removing that and adding a small retainer wall style block. The circle planter with the hibiscus will get the circle extended to the little halfwall and be higher than the planter infront of the halfwall. I don't know what to do about additional planting around the hibiscus or where the fountain (filled with plants) should be or the odd area surrounding the walkway. Advice needed!

The added parking is brand new, and I had to move the mailbox over and reroute sprinklers this week (hubs got a perm work vehicle so making room for a 3rd car). I will probably remove a layer of grass and mulch this area... not sure tho!

I love my current planter with the elephant ears, they are much bigger and I've got a lattice ready to support all the virginia vine I keep knocking down off the wall behind that statue (waiting for house paint).

The mexican pentuna planter is good, I'm just letting those take over the planter (it will also get the new block/retainer wall).

I'm in zone 9b!

TLDR: Need Florida Native plants for the fountain, surrounding the hibiscus, in the straight planter infront of the halfwall below the patio, and somehow to make the corner near the walkway look good/easier to mow.
