As shown in these pics, my sea oats plants have suddenly been leveled - they clearly look like they've been snacked on, right?

Anyone else experience this? I've heard that they're deer/rabbit "resistant" but this looks like the work of rabbits?

This must have happened over the last 5 days as that's when I last saw them looking healthy.

It does look like they've been snacked on. Unfortunately "resistant" means just that, it's resistant or in other words not at the top of the bunny menu. You may just have a rabbit in your area that isn't very picky.

We have a ton of baby rabbits this year...none of them read that they were NOT supposed to eat onions, alliums or garlic...they also decide to try and keep trying my rose campion yesterday...lots of litter, no blooms left, but they did not really eat it, just kept trying another stem hoping that they might like the new stem.

Also, I read and have seen that Mama deer don't show their fawns what to eat, they let them taste anything, including mildly poisonous....so I have things "tasted" that deer normally don't eat.

I have to protect lots of things with Dollar Tree wire waste baskets covering them this year. I have enough that I have even ordered a whole box on-line.
