Bad mosquitoes totally ruin it for us. When the weather is good, we can't be outdoors to enjoy the summer nights.

Well, Ive changed my mind on next years garden layout. Did away with the concrete slab and cinder block beds and am going to build waist high raised beds in an 8' x 16' area. Here is what I am going to build for next spring.

It is going to be a very busy winter for me getting everything built. Hurray!

Bob, I love your diagram and plan. Looks fantastic. Which computer program do you use to make your diagram. I love all the little veggies!

Hey guys, look up a peppermint spray, isnt toxic, but flying critters do not like the peppermint. If we are going to have to use the outdoors, there is a spray that repels mosquitoes you can use on the yard. Don't remember what it is, but you can literally see clouds of skeeters thick enuff to leave ground shadows hovering outside the areas- and those clouds aren't love bugs. We actually have abt 3 different breeds of skeeters here- I detest those black and white ones. I welp up like a wasp or have gotten weeping allergic reactions after scratching with my gardening fingers, chuckl. Cooler weather has them slowed down now.
So many roads to take, choices to make, and laughs to share!

Well, here's my newest layout of my garden plot. Decided to build a 36" high fence around the perimeter of the plot. Wife is asking about the costs now. Rolling my eyes. . Told her by the time I mix all the soil, install the drip irrigation, and purchase the building materials it will be in the neighborhood of apx $1,000. Shrug! ! Better stop designing stuff for now and get it all built. I can't wait to get it all finished.
