Paeonia 'Joker' Lactiflora- (Landis /Rogers, 2004)

I love this peony! Frank, your Joker is gorgeous! Once I saw this peony in our botanical garden I wanted to get it. After some mishaps it is growing in my garden and hopefully will flower next summer.

I have this peony from a couple of places and it has not bloomed in a couple of years.

I have had good luck with mine. Planted in 2014, first blooms in 2016 and has bloomed every year since then. The plant is somewhat smaller (shorter and thinner) than most of my other lactifloras.

Anya, I can't wait to see Joker blooms from your garden next spring. I will be very interested to see how the color opens and changes in Alaska. I think the colors will be amazing.

Karen, than you so much for you root!!! The peony is still small, not full size at all. I hope it gives one flower next summer. I saw Joker in our Botanical Garden. It is gorgeous! Always wanted it but had bad luck with it before.

Frank and Karen...swoooooon!!!! I am going to have to move mine. The lilac that it is very near wasn't growing, but with all the rains last winter, it burst into vigorous life this spring and completely shaded Joker out!

No blooms this past year, but late spring freezes played havoc with some cultivars.
