I always start my morning with a cup of coffee or tea and check my e-mail and Facebook.......I think that I need to stay off of FB....I weep too much lately...lol....so I go outside to water and find peace......

My two Lumas, Chilean Myrtles, had been growing so beautifully for 6-7 years before giving in to Verticillium Wilt and it breaks my heart to lose them...so, the one on one side of the path has been removed and in that spot are now a Stipa gigantea and a couple of Calamagrostis Karl 'Foerster'...it's life force was clearly gone....but the one across the path is actually blooming and has new growth at the branch tips.....some of my Dodoneas, Hopseed Bushes have been hit, but not totally gone, so I have to give this Luma a chance...though wisdom says fertilizer will not help, I will give it some anyway and baby it ...there is a good size seedling that I will pot and grow on in a tub......

Cuz.......look at these flowers...I go out there in a terribly depressed mood, sit down on my cart...and say, "Oh, look at YOU...!!

I will give it another year.....

It's definitely funny how things change....myself included.....lol...

When these were given to me, I did not even think about what color they might be...and was lucky in that I was given more and these turned out to be a matched set, one of each side of the entry path....but BLUE !! OMG, that cobalt blue...! Too much and each year I would cut off a large number of them to lessen the impact....

Now I treasure them........
