I have a rock garden in St Louis. I found a tiny plant with small pink bloom. Picture from just a couple days ago. Bloom is approx 1cm diameter. Leaves are a little fleshy/deep green. I don't know if it's a local weed or a treasure I ordered on-line. Anyone recognize him?

Can you add another photo with the leaves in focus?

Also, take a look at some of the other flowers and make sure they all have six petals, too. Six is fairly unusual, I think, and a clue to its ID if it is.

Here are some more pictures from tonight.
I see a couple more buds getting ready to open.
Interested in whatever suggestions you guys have!
Unfortunately it was dusk with poor light.
And my camera fogged up immediately upon entering the humidity!
Hope the images are good enough.

I have no clue what it is, but the best that I can give you is that it is possible that it's a member of the carnation family.

I was thinking the same thing, plus we still need to know if six petals is normal for that plant, which seems unusual for a dicot.

Could this be it?

IDK but found a pic of (one ?) with both 5- and 6-petal blooms

Ohh, looks like that pic is thought to be another species, Centaurium erythraea.

Thanks, guys.
I think Centaurium scilloides is the likely answer since it's clearly something I have growing in a trough already but the trough is on my sunny patio. I guess it's possible it reseeded itself into my rock garden. The picture I posted of C scilloides has 6 petals which would correlate with my mystery plant. Unfortunately I've been out of town this week, so I may miss the opening of the new buds. I'll check them out when I get back in town. Thanks for your help!
