We had unseasonably high amounts of rain this summer and all my newly planted perennials suffered miserably.it was so beautiful until the monsoon came. I planted liatris, coneflower, tickseed, daisy, candytuft and lambs ear, which by the way, has been fine. With climate change, I fear this may become the new norm. I have soaker hose set up so watering in dry times won't be a problem. Please recommend perennials for this area. The area is part sun and drains fairly well,
except when it rains every day. Thank you!

I have swamp milkweed, swamp hibiscus, spiderwort, and an 'Obedient Plant' in a spot of one of my garden beds that doesn't drain well. I think it is wet 24/7, 365, but not like standing water wet (although when it rains, it does flood).

Cardinal flowers, Siberian/Louisiana Irises, and Juncus do well in those conditions too.

If you want a big patch of just 1 thing, Cannas would love it. But they never stop creeping laterally, so they aren't good companions with other plants.
