Saw this on Reddit Gardening and thought it a very unique "planter". You'd need to own/hire someone with the proper equipment to uproot the dead tree (many farmers already own one) but how clever is this?! You could plant IN the root clump as shown and also hang baskets off of the roots. I just LOVE this idea. Execution might be tricky. It takes a dead tree and makes it look like a living, bloom tree again! https://old.reddit.com/r/garde...

Well I'm quite impressed! I'm sure it will be years before it rots out. A couple of other options would be to plant with perennials or hardy succulents.

Of course, tending plants would require a ladder if left this tall. You could use one of those hooked gutter washing tools for watering up there without a ladder. I just think it such a clever idea

I love this idea. it would work really great if the tree was hollow to begin with..just imagine the possibilities. I'd probably install lights on/in it too. Rolling my eyes.
