Hello there! My mom recently sent me some plants as a gift from my grandmother's garden but she completely forgot their names(old age is affecting her) so I was hoping you could help me identify them I really appreciate it! - pls forgive them being dirty, I'm going to the store to buy gloves so I can clean them up
1) she said this was from arizona however I'm not too sure how reliable that information is- the main plant is around 6 ft tall before this piece was taken off it

2)the main plant grows very close to the ground with a lot of branches everywhere but they seem to not really stand directly upward when it reaches a certain length

The second one is Opuntia engemannii 'Hairy Roger'.
You might try posting the first one on the cactus and succulent forum.
