Does anyone recognize this weed? It's very hard to remove; I have to dig it out with a knife. I don't know what it looks like at maturity, nor do I know how it mysteriously spreads to the compete other side of my garden! It is most prevalent in my SDB iris.

I keeping thinking Erigeron but I'm not certain. Maybe let one bloom for a photo before pulling it unless someone else recognizes it?

Thanks, Sue; I will spend some time later studying that plant, and I may let a few mature if it looks promising I tip my hat to you. Confused

I think erigeron, too. They are fairly easy to pull out when they are flowering, but otherwise, nearly always require a weeding tool of some sort.

Thanks, Rick!

After studying Erigeron, I agree that this is probably some type of that plant.
However, it is not the type plant I want where it is growing, so I will continue to dig it out. Grumbling
I don't think I'll let it mature - even to see the bloom!

I appreciate both your help so much I tip my hat to you.

Janine, I think you've found the exact one! After looking through members' photos in the database, I see that my leaves look exactly like most of theirs.
The "Robin's Fleabane" blooms hardly look worth my keeping it, though Crying
I'd rather it not invade my iris Blinking
Thank you Thank You!
