Hi! My name is Izzy, and I have a question. I bought a baby "monstera" from the local plant store, but some leaves have split already. It's very tiny still, however. I'd say it's about the size of my hand. But I've begun to doubt whether or not it's an actual monstera, or another plant, since I've heard that monstera's leaves start splitting after two or three years, and this baby is at most two months old.

Yes, it might be the plant called "Mini Monstera", Mini Monstera (Rhaphidophora tetrasperma)
