Don't know if anyone has ordered from this vendor, but they had Quitzin and Colonel Owen Cousins for $50 each. Great buy. Will post pictures of the roots when they arrive.

It is because I posted the wrong name. Plantgem.com is the site. Sorry.

they are a reseller, the roots are likely overseas imports but i'm sure they'll be fine. They should include country of origin or import in their description in my opinion.

The company resells cut flower plugs and corms/bulbs/roots in fancy packaging for an exorbitant premium. I have accounts with the major plant brokers and can't believe this company charges $19 for 3 lisianthus plugs which cost at most 1.89 for the Japanese seedlings and many are .30-.50c

It's a very fancy site targeting instagram gardeners and while they say they focus on rare flower gems-it's just marketing. My experience as a floral designer now gardener is that all these plants can be found with some effort but most don't want to put in the research. what they sell is as simple as typing the name into a plant brokers catalog.

It'll be interesting to see what the roots look like, Gary! If the divisions are minimum 2-3 eye with storage roots big enough to support them as well as true to variety then you got a great price, regardless of whether they're a reseller or not. Please share your experience and some pics when they get there!

What I find interesting is at the same time everyone is getting notifications of PeonyShopHolland roots, I also received notification from Plantgems and a notification that they were mailed today. Pictures to follow.

Wow...I love a good mystery! I will look for updates Gary.

Sulli...Marketing in this age is so interesting...targeting to Instagram Gardeners...wonder how well it works for them? I read a rose breeder talk about own root resellers versus propagaters and his frustration with the marketing. I also just listen to Bunny Williams ( interior designer) about the changes in her field that are frustrating due to Instagram and on-line shopping. Her's were more like what we see here with roots being advertised as 3-5, while 2-3 is what is sent, but the company says 3 eyes could go either way.

I posted pics on the thread titled Plant Gem. I put up the wrong name originally. Sorry for the confusion.
