I got this recently and it was labeled Dioscorea- does it look like that to you? Any idea what species? The flower looking thing throws me off, I can't find anything that looks similar online. Will this guy be happy with bright indirect sun from a South window, moderate watering when dry and Winter dormancy with no water? Thank you in advance! Sorry, I forgot to put a title and couldn't put one in with the edit function!

Its a Dorstenia, maybe foetida. I treat mine like my other succulents. I've never stopped watering in winter because it has never drpped its leaves. Leafy succulents with leaves are watered, if they lose their leaves, no water. The biggest Dorstenia foetida I have seen were growing wild in an orchid greenhouse so I moved mine to the more water needy succulent section and its done much better.

Max out the sun if the plant will be indoors. Right in front of your sunniest southerly facing window would be ideal. Water well when dry, then wait for the soil to go dry at depth before watering again.
