I have a fern that I have been nursing all season. It seems pretty clear now that it is not going to make it. I think pests set it on a downward spiral. I tried to save it by spritzing it with Garden Safe bug spray which did seem to help a lot, but it never really recovered from pests or the pest cure, and I am ready to admit defeat.

The experience made me think about a friend whom I knew many years ago who had a bit of a green thumb. She managed to bring back a fair number of houseplants over the years that were pretty sick. This made me wonder what your triumphs (and failures) have been. Do you have any stories about plants you have brought back from the brink? Before and after photos would be great, too! Smiling

This is my poor fern. I do not think it is going to make it. It was doing very well, and then caterpillars attacked it, and I sprayed with Garden Safe insecticide, and it just never recovered. Sighing!
