Been growing this Yucca in a big container outdoors. A couple of years ago I have previously cut off one branch, and it took awhile for that cutting to grow. But the remaining mother plant did not grow anything new on the cut off point.

This summer, I really have to try and do my first ever hard pruning, Yucca has been a danger to stab our eyes when we walk by it. I read extensively and it was said it can be done anytime and warm weather is good. It has been more than warm here..warm to very hot and very dry..ongoing drought as well.

I did the hard pruning in July and plant has responded.well woohoo!
New growth is active and doing well!

There is also a new growth near the base of the plant:

The branch cuttings are still in a waiting mode..I know it takes a long time for roots to grow on those..anyhow I was just so relieved and glad Yucca mother plant is once more showing life Hurray!
