Thread OP

I snipped this off a bigger plant that I got and set it on the pot 2 months ago. Nothing is happening. I even tried dipping the bottom on rooting hormone.

Do I need to moist this everyday or just leave alone until something happens?

Mostly leave it alone in its pot. Find it a bright place, water when the soil is dry, and try not to think about it. That plant should root fairly reliably but the time frame is a little elastic. Maybe 2 or 3 months average? If it hasn't happened by 6 months, something might be wrong. If it hasn't happened by a year, it's time to give up. Rooting hormone is completely unnecessary in most situations.

The setup looks good, but skip the misting and just treat it like a regular succulent, watering well and then waiting for the soil to go dry at depth before watering again. You will notice a pretty dramatic change up top when the roots are out there doing their job. First the plant will sort of pump up and reinflate, then it will start putting out new growth at the center. Just wait for these signs, and don't disturb the roots out of impatience along the way.
