Pandemic idiot killed my plant. This plant had long straight green leaves about 2 inches wide and 6 to 8 inches long. The leaves dried up and died in the winter. The plant had spikes grow up 6 to 12 inches and on top looking flat across the top. Tiny blue flowers single petals on top.

I think they are asking for the ID of a plant that they once had, that died during the pandemic.

Lots of plants die in the winter. Could have been an annual.
Drawing resembles shape of ornamental allium, agapanthus or other similar-growing bulbs but can't think what would be blooming in the fall.

Tworedhd, we need more info. Indoor or outdoor, when did it bloom, did you plant it, died last winter and...hasn't reappeared?

Still wondering what you mean by pandemic idiot.

Someone (pandemic idiot) ripped out our plant from the yard, these folks also smashed our neighbors ornamental pot. This plant had been blooming in the yard for over 10 years. It liked partial shade. It grew every year in the same spot. It didn't spread. Dark blue tiny flowers smaller than baby breath.

Thank you all for your help

Thank you all for your help! Sea lavender is exactly what it was. Now I am looking for a blue one and a companion plant. I am not planting this one outside of the locked gate.

Tworedhd, good luck with the new plant. I get so frustrated with those senseless acts of vandalism...well, I hate all crime, but while I can understand something like burglary (they want money), ripping out plants and breaking flower pots makes no sense to me at all. I don't think idiots like that are influenced by the pandemic; they're just idiots. Angry

well yes there has been more vandalism around my area the past year or so, people home w too much time on their hands, wandering around into other people's property, theft is up. Theft of car parts and smash and grabs ect has increased. I wouldn't doubt that more people are having damage done to their yards by neighbors or vandals that are bored or just at home thinking of ways to create a ruckus for the joy of seeing you suffer. They are crazy. Sad

I was going to suggest grecian windflower, but seems he has found his ID, Hurray!
