Hi Gang! Is it okay to relocate clematis in September?

If you need to dig it out of the ground, and consequently cut off lots of root, it's best to wait till the plant is dormant. Less stress on the plant that way. But if the plant is already dormant in Sept, or in a container, or small enough to dig without threatening roots, then I imagine it would be okay to move it now.

Learning to work with Mother Nature rather than against her, such that the more I harvest with thankfulness, the more she will most gladly and willingly provide.
Specializing in a full spectrum variety of trees and shrubs, occasionally with perennials as an incidental bonus.
