Thread OP

I planted two star jasmine in early summer this year. The one on the right appears healthy, full, green and has been growing fast. The one on the left--not so much. The plant on the left does get a wee bit less sun then on the right because of a nearby Euonymus. Could this be the issue or something else?

I do know I need to mulch the heck out of these for the winter. Will probably also build a temporary greenhouse around them. I grew up in So. Cal. and miss the smell of Jasmine in the spring :)

There was jasmine growing on the back fence of our winter home in FL....I never did anything to it...I have no idea what kind it was, it usually started to bloom as we were leaving to go home to CT, so around April 1st.....What zone are you living in?

There were some blooms on them when I planted them in June. Yep, keeping them alive will be a challenge but I do love the smell.
