Looks like an eleagnus.
Many different types, some are extremely aggressive and invasive like Elaeagnus pungens, while others like the goumi are actually kind of desirable.

I believe this may be Hampshire. UK.
Elaeagnus is not aggressive here.
No sign of the silver dots on the leaves typical of Elaeagnus.

I would like to see clear close up pics.
I wonder if it is Prunus sp.

Thanks all.
I will take a clearer photo & upload it tomorrow.
I know it's not like the standard laurel, the leaves are darker and end in points:
I really like it & would like to plant more once I know what it is!
Really appreciate your help.
Thank you

Prunus (english laurel) is not a true laurel.

Thanks for new good clear pics.
Leaves not right for Prunus laurocerasus ...common name cherry laurel, common laurel.

Nor is it Laurus_nobilis.....common names include bay tree bay laurel, sweet bay, true laurel, Grecian laurel, or simply laurel.

Opposite, toothed,pointed evergreen ..black berries.
I believe this is Prunus lusitanica..common name Portuguese laurel cherry or Portugal laurel.
