Can anyone identify this tree? It is growing on the grounds of the 1719 Hans Herr House, the oldest homestead in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Small fruits are shown in the third and fourth photos. I had to stand under the tree to get these photos. No branches were low enough to photograph the tops of leaves. However, small seedlings growing under the tree had leaves with a very rough texture and looked like leaves of what I think is a slippery elm. But slippery elm does not have fruit like this, so I need help with identification.

That's my thought. It is a beautiful tree.

Yes - it is a well-grown linden.
