Thread OP

Hi everyone... I'm new to this forum so please be kind. I've been growing plumeria for a few years but am by no means a gardener, I live in Southern California so they generally tend to flourish with very little help. I have one that was replanted in the ground from a cutting 6 or 7 months ago and recently the leaves have turned an odd pale yellow. I have another cutting from the same tree that does not look like this, and several others along the same irrigation line that are fine. It's still flowering, does anyone know what my problem is? Thanks!

I would check under the leaves for potential spider mites or any other harmful bug and then maybe check the soil. I'm new to all this but it looks like potential spider mites.

Is it possible something got sprayed just on this plant. A few of the leaves are still very green. The leaves don't appear to be dropping. How long has it been like this, have you fertilized lately and maybe over did this one. The plants next to it are ok.? Could be bugs but they spread quickly and would probably effect other plant around it. Someone should have more to say about this. Welcome 😎

@Kairynel Welcome!
I agree with either spider mites (check with magnifying lens if there are tiny bugs) or if you sprayed something on the leaves.

It also looks like sunburn leaves to me. To reduce plant stress and help it recover faster, you can trim the leaves and see if the new leaves will grow healthier. It will not hurt a healthy plumeria to get all leaves removed.

Definitely looks like mites to me. How close are the other plants to this one?

The other plants are several feet away in a different ground planter so it's possible mites got to just this one? I have never actually ever fertilized my plumeria 🙈 so I couldn't have overdone it. What is a good treatment for mites?

I normally just remove all leaves and spray the stems to remove eggs and adult mites.

I use miticides Floramite, minx, and Oberon SC. I rotate through the 3 of them each application. Typically only have to make maybe 2 applications a season.
