What would cause black streaks on aloe leaves? This is the second aloe I've seen it in, but can't figure out what would cause it.

I suspected maybe aloe mite, but neither aloe had tumorous growth. Just the streaks. The streaks also aren't raised at all. Any thoughts on what it might be, and if it's something to be concerned about?

I know the leaves on this aloe are thin at the moment. It just got watered.

I associate that with a minor fungal infection or the leave having grown next to a leaf that had some rot going on.

Every summer I have one or two Aloes that get a spot of crown rot especially during high humidity high heat situations lots or rain can make it worse. Leaves next to the area where the rot occurred have marks like that. If you did not see any rot, I suspect it might be the former, likely also due to high humidity, if the next leaves look fine I do not think it is something to get too worried about.

Not seen that before to but I have persistent mid leaf (fungal ) Leaf rot problem with my aloes . Mine starts white ans always in the mid leaf point . I am trying to use a fan to increase air movement as they see very little air exchange indoors in a spare room . Thijs thought it might be humidity related as well . Frustrating

Hm... that could be the issue then. I keep a lot of my aloes on one of my landings where a lot of sunlight comes in, but it does tend to get humid up there. Most of them appear to be doing just fine. Just noticed the streaks on two of them. Maybe I'll set up a fan out there to help with air flow a bit.
