Thread OP

Good day all,

I am having some issues with my yard. Brown patch... I have BioAdvanced Fungus control and the BioAdvanced Grub killer, but my yard still has the brown patch and seems to be spreading.. Any tips on what to do before winter kicks in? Located in Central Texas, Austin area.

Thanks!

Welcome to the garden.org website. We are seeing a lot of St. Augustine dying off. Rest assured, quite a few yards are experiencing the same problem.

We're in Westlake off 360, and the flatbed trucks, carrying fresh St. Augustine pallets, were a daily occurrence for a while. I have noticed about a 6" half moon ring out from an oak tree in our front yard.

Have you called the Travis County Master Gardeners' helpline? They are very helpful. You can request information mailed to you (for free).

Thank you for the welcome!

No, I have not tried contacting them (didn't know they existed tbh), but I will most certainly reach out to them.

Thanks!

Master Gardeners "man" the phones during the week.
Phone numbers are: 512-854-9600 and 512-710-7098. Just ask for Master Gardener helpline.
If you have other gardening questions or information you'd like answered, you can request info to be mailed to you (free)!
I loved being a Master Gardener!
