'Orange Rocket' Barberry and 'Tiger Eyes' Sumac make a great combination in fall gardens.

The 'Orange Rocket' in this photograph was pruned and trained to the shape you see. A friend and fellow gardener planted one at the same time I planted this one. She refused to prune and felt training was unnecessary. She now has a large rounded shrub.
The Sumac has pretty well been left to its own devices.

Their combination lends some warmth, and a nice splash of color, to a cool fall day.
