I just ordered a pot with cuttings of a lot of different varieties of crassula ovata.

I want this thread for the discussion of all things crassula ovata.

Can you grow jade in pure coco coir if you aerate the soil every so often and have drainage on the sides and the bottom? Always something I wanted to experiment with.

I think the term "Jade Plants" was used very loosely. The Ebay ad doesn't say Crassula ovata, it says Assorted Jade Succulents. You may be surprised.

Does anyone happen to know what type of C. ovata this is? I took this home from work back in July. My guess is minima but I'm a bit unsure.
