I am not sure if this is a Gerbera daisy. It is a little smaller than what I would expect for a Gerbera - it is 2" in diameter. I photographed this from a cut flower arrangement. Does anybody have a specific name for this flower?
Thank you for your help.

I'd say that was a type of Chrysanthemum.

I'd go with mum unless it has a long, leafless, smooth stem.

Actually, looking closer at that center, it could be a dahlia as suggested.
My shot of this one looks similar. Can you add foliage photos?

Agree it could be Chrsanthemum.

Out walking today I saw a Dahlia with buds.
Pics below show the leafy green bits (or involucral bracts. )
behind the flower buds...
Which will hopefully prove which it plant it is.

I do not see any leaf structure behind the bud, so I am going to go with the Chrysanthemum ID. Thanks all for your help.

I've spent many hours in the Dahlia & Chrysanthemum display fields photographing plants and this is defnitely not a Dahlia. Far more likely to be a Chrysanthemum in a cut flower bouquet too.
