Was given a whole box of these and told they are red daylilies, however I posted pics here and was told that they are not daylilies.
So now I'd like to know what they are???

The way the green tips look is an important clue but I don't know what they are telling me. They don't say anything Amaryllis.

I thought so too, looking at the photos of this entry I can see how someone could mistake it for a daylily. But they are usually pink or white, not red. Crinums (Crinum)

They are way too big to be L. radiata. Is there another kind of Lycoris with red blooms?
