I have seen this plant a number of times growing in the fork of a tree. It has a yellow inflorescence and resembles some type of orchid. It is mostly found in old, dead/dying Combretum Imberbe, but not exclusively. I would be very interested to see if anyone knows what this might be. Thanks very much for the assistance.

I think that your plant is an orchid, Ansellia africana.
Orchid lecturer, teacher and judge. Retired Wildlife Biologist. Supervisor of a nature preserve up until I retired.
