Th photo you posted above is not a photo of Aeonium Arboreum var. Rubrolineatum (the same as Aeonium Rubrolineatum). I am not sure how you came into possession of the plant, but it looks more like Aeonium 'Zwartkop' or a hybrid of it. Aeonium Arboreum var. Rubrolineatum cannot develop black colors when stressed. When stressed and in dormancy, Aeonium Arboreum var. rubrolineatum develops copper colored leaves with brown stripes. When it is growing, its leaves are green.
You may have received your plant mis - named, or mis - identified.
