Maybe it is miscanthus? Maybe some type of Miscanthus sinensis

I am not sure....

I think the blades look too narrow for M. sinensis, but I've never seen one in a tropical setting.

Daisy is correct, Porkpal. Google Lens is very handy sometimes. However, it is iffy for plant ID. It suggests that the above plant is lemongrass, which I doubt.

I could see where it could be lemongrass but I'm not sure how often that is used as a landscape plant. It could also be fountain grass.

I grow lemongrass in the garden but it is an annual here. Mine has much wider, tapered blades and proportionately shorter.

What about maiden grass

Or possibly pampas without the plumes?

Thanks for the answers! What about Muhlenbergia or Pompass grass? It's just a random pool fun pic from the Internet, but this bushy, fountain grass catched my attention. Next spring I'm going to start planting and I have been looking for a faster alternative to Dasylirion Wheeleri which is nice but super slow, so I thought maybe some ornamental grass would have a close visual effect.

Muhlenbergia looks promising

Certain Pampas are discouraged because of their invasiveness but I believe some cultivars are sterile, research those before you plant

Miscanthus sinensis is also a problem child invasive exotic in eastern North America. Please refrain from spreading it further.
