I'm just wondering if anyone can ID this begonia maculata variety? Or tell me if it isn't a begonia maculata? My friend really wants one of the Wightii variety but it doesn't seem to have distinct enough dots but I can't tell what other variety it could be?


Also while I'm here an ID for my begonia? I think it's a begonia medora. I would almost say the one above is also medora except it seems too large?

The first begonia looks more like a regular Angel wing type such as Lucerna to me. The second looks just like my medora. Hope that helps.

Agree. The 2nd looks like 'Medora', a shrub-like Begonia. The first one looks like a cane Begonia cultivar. There are MANY of them. "Cane Begonia" includes various cultivars, and several plain species. American Begonia Society has a great website if you are interested:
