True, but that does not answer the TS' question.
Calla lilies need full sun and except one (Z. aethiopica), none can survive long frost. They are generally grown as dahlias: summer flowering and dug up in autumn for an indoor dormancy protected from wet and cold, or left in ground to take a gamble (very free draining soil and alot of mulching are needed though)
In your case you could try to keep it alive indoors near a bright window and supplement it with grow lights, or place it somewhere outside where it might get just a touch of frost to kill the foliage, but not the tuber to force it into dormancy and then store it until you're ready to replant it in late spring.
