Well I just got my grapewood piece, my Tillandsia book and the Tillandsias that I ordered last week. Beautiful plants! I only ordered 5 and they sent 7. Got a chance to talk with Paul Isley on the phone. I am looking forward to this adventure. Sorry about the photos. Had to use the flash.

Wow, @TennesseeDave, they look great. I would like to check into the grapewood piece. I can't find your post describing it and informing us where you bought it. Is there a link I can research?
The plants look very nice. I know you will enjoy growing them.

I have found that misting them is the answer for me, especially since I have the AC on all the time now.

Greenhouse is empty. All ready for Fall. Doubt if I will move the APs to the greenhouse since they need more humidity than my outdoor plants do.

@JB I got the grapewood at http://www.rainforestflora.com.... They have all different sizes. I called them and describe what I was looking for and what size. Lovely folks to deal with. I wanted a piece that was big enough to display a half dozen or so plants and craggy enough so that I don't have to glue them in place or do too much handwork creating divots etc. I plan to keep the AP's as houseplants as well.

Tillandsias on the grapewood now. Left to Right T. Sticta, T. Caput-Medusae, T. Ionantha v Stricta, T. Ionantha Mexico, T. Ionantha Guatemala, T. Aeranthos, and T. Baileyi. Spent quite a bit of time with the Dremel creating depressions etc. so that I could mount them without glue or wire. Makes watering easier. After the photo I did place the completed piece on a grated humidity tray just to keep the humidity up a touch.

I am. This window gets good morning light and I have the grapewood on a humidity tray filled with water. So I am going to give it a go and see what happens.

New one to the collection today. Pleasantly surprised both with the size of this juvenile plant and a flower spike. This is Tillandsia Best in Class (T. Xerographica X T. Rothii)

This air plant is making 2 new sections. The original section (the most upright part) is taking a very long time to fade away.

Well my bride did not like the way I hung my Xerographica X Rothii. Said it looked out of place and needed something more organic rather than a piece of wire hanging from a hook. We had to severely prune our Corylus avellana 'Contorta', Harry Lauder's Walking Stick, after some damage from the winter and she selected a piece of that. All the convolutions make almost perfect holders for Tillandsia's. She even said that I should add a few more in a couple of spots. I think she did well.
