No, not a palm at all. It's the Giant White Bird of Paradise (Strelitzia nicholae).
They are relatively easy indoors but wanna get big, not just big, but REALLY, REALLY, REALLY BIG! Like 30 feet tall and busting through the roof of the botanical garden tall. Let it dry between watering, provide full sun to filtered sun; mine spend most of the year outside in NJ (Zone 7b), but need protection from anything more than a light frost. I overwinter one in a detached, loft garage and the other in a bright basement. My Orange Bird (Strelitzia reginae) is actually blooming now; the Giant White Bird will not flower until it breaks through your roof. They are very robust plants, both share a kinship with the banana family (Musa).
