Two Hipps. bulbs, all planted the same date/ cared for exactly the same. One is all finished blooming, one remains exactly as it looked on day one when planted.

It's always amazing to me.
I started them all in a cool room with high window light. When I have a stubborn one, I move them to a warm windowsill with southern exposure sunshine all day so the sun warms the pot (bulb and root.)
Thumb of 2022-01-10/kenisaac/93e201This slow one has been there for a month! Looks healthy otherwise... I can see a bud, but it has been like this since day 1!Thumb of 2022-01-10/kenisaac/4ab563
We will just let it be until it makes a decision to grow!

Ken, some are just real slowpokes at waking up. If that were mine, I wouldn't water that bulb again until it puts up growth. You don't want the bulb to rot before it breaks dormancy. I have two H. Sofia bulbs from the same source planted on Nov 20th.. One is done blooming, the other one hasn't don't anything. No real explanation, just something that happens.

I will put mine on top of my furnace to give it some bottom heats, seems to work. Agree with Barbara, no more water until it starts growing.
